Oxford Fashion Week was conjured up on a November night over dark and delightful cocktails. That night we decided to search for and bring together those designers, speakers, and artists who experiment with, define, and create new fashion. Oxford Fashion Week 2009 emerged with a collection of some of the most innovative, intelligent, and outstanding original pieces.

Designers and artists hailing from the world’s creative capitals including London, Amsterdam, Bucharest, Mumbai, and New York converged on Oxford for a series of six events.

Eighty-one designers, artists, and speakers participated in OFW 2009 including Wolford, Piers Atkinson, Maria Grachvogel, Laura Fauvel, Cecilia Mary Robson, and Nabil El-Nayal. Personalities included Dolly Jones (editor vogue.co.uk), Sebastian Horsley, Jane Boardman (CEO Talk PR), Claire Pajaczkowska (RCA), and Andrew Ramroop (Saville Row). Irene Forte was the face of OFW 2009 and modelled in the The Concept Show.

Over 1000 attendees witnessed the synthesis of ‘art’ and ‘life’ in the Launch Show, the Exhibition, the Concept Show, the Swimwear & Lingerie Show, the Debate, and the Couture Show.
