The Sunlight Collection: An Oxford Style Show Exclusive
Not only will the Oxford Style Show officially launch Oxford Fashion Week 2010, and not only is it the largest event of the week featuring nine runway shows and 400 walks on the runway, but the Oxford Style Show will also feature UK runway exclusives.
Zinaida Likhecheva will be travelling from the Ukraine for Oxford Fashion Week in order to show their Sunlight collection for the first time in the UK.
Here are their backgrounds and inspirations:
ZINAIDA LIKHACHEVA.
An artist, designer and trend-setter for the concept of Slavonic symbolism and sacral meaning of the collection Zinaida studies Ukrainian ancestors’ traditions, colour and decorative pattern symbolism. The focus of the collection is ethno-modern wear with the use of sacral geometry conveying philosophical, aesthetic and sacral significance.
SUNLIGHT collection is a synthesis of ETHNO.FOLK.MODERN. (COLOUR.LINE.RHYTHM). It offers an outstanding experience: ethnic motives lie in the heart of collection, modern shapes alongside traditional vision, natural materials and colour schemes, hand-made embroidery and applique. SLAVONIC SYMBOLS are used as part of these cutting-edge designs. Each collection item, whether an accessory or a headgear, a decorative pattern or a symbol-bearing element, possesses its own energy and vibration. Clear and straight lines make the collection immensely graceful and therefore highly feminine. SACRAL GEOMETRY cut of clothing adds to conceptual notions, secret sense and mysterious spirit. The collection sets a modern ethnic trend in urban rhythm. This is a smart casual outfit for a woman. The whole range of items, especially dresses and skirts, accumulate female energy and allow any woman to radiate with warmth and light, to enjoy THE RIGHT COLOUR, LINE and RHYTHM.
To feature beauty, to appeal to beauty, and to bestow beauty.
